Knees are an area bought to my attention by my patients. Dedicated to maintaining a fresh look, knees, and indeed elbows, have become an area of interest over the years.

As dynamic areas where the skin is constantly moving and stretched, the tissues are susceptible to becoming slack.

I have discovered an ideal partnership for treatment. Resurfacing with Tixel followed by the injection of Polynucleotides. Tixel delivers controlled cauterizing of the tissue to destroy old skin and stimulate new. Polynucleotides stimulate the renewal of healthy tissue and were, in fact, originally manufactured for healing burns.

As a course of treatment, it is an investment of time. Tixel resurfacing is a course of 2 treatments, 2 weeks apart, Polynucleotides is a course of 2 treatments, 3 weeks apart.

The skin is topically numbed for resurfacing to keep comfort levels at an optimum. Following treatment, the area will form “microcrusts”, tiny scabs, and must remain covered with loose fitting, soft clothing whilst healing.

Polynucleotides are injected 2 weeks after the second resurfacing session and, again, topical numbing is utilised.

The full course is completed over 4 sessions, within 2.5 months and may be maintained annually.
